Lean Thinking - 5 Steps

Just a recap on the 5 steps that make up for Lean Thinking before we continue or posts on Lean software development:
  1. Correctly specify value for the customer
  2. Identify the value stream and remove waste
  3. Make the product flow
  4. So the customer can pull
  5. By managing towards perfection
These principles come from a book called Lean Thinking by Womack and Jones from the early 1998 and are since then the guiding principles behind lean in manufacturing, logistics, heath care... and now also software development.
